"Have you seen anything weird behind us?" Janine asked.

"Anything weird?" Hunter repeated the question, looking for clarification.

"Guess not," she decided.

"What do you think that you saw?" I asked her, pulling the blinds apart in the back window of the RV so that I could get a better view out onto the road behind us.


"Nothing, just being paranoid," she said.

"Paranoia is a good thing, after the day we've been having," I reminded her.

"I probably just need a nap."

I nodded, returning to the bunk.

"Good idea. Hunter, wake me up in 15 or 20 minutes."
