"The longer they kept us there, the more things came out, and all because there is this standard set of questions that they ask everybody when a kid dies, and it opened up all these doors into hallways with other doors, and then all these things came out in the open about her and about us, and I guess they thought that by throwing the information on the table in front of me that they were helping me. Now, I'm glad for knowing the truth, or at least a portion of it, but at the time, I wanted ignorance, I wanted to not know, to erase the information they'd given me, to step back in time a few days or weeks or months and change it all.
