"Shit!" I exclaimed, startled.

"Exactly,” Hunter answered. I turned to him again.

"They're shooting at us AND driving without their headlights?" I asked.

His glasses had started to fall off of his nose, and he pushed them back up to a more reasonable place.

"Seems like it," he said.

"This is insane."

He didn't say anything, concentrating on navigating through another turn.
