"Have you ever been to the point where everything seemed like it was just... phony?" he asked me, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. His glasses were perpetually falling off of his nose, I noticed. I wondered why he didn't get a better pair, one that fit properly. "Like everything is just a facade, and we're all players in some really bad drama that we've been forced to believe is real life because of corporate brainwashing?"

It kind of all peaked out one day that was just like every other day. I couldn't really even tell you what kind of day it was, since they all were blurred together. Every day seemed the same to me.
